Christina Drain

Christina Drain was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI. She began her birth work journey in 2015 when she trained with Doula Organization of North America (DONA) after she became pregnant with her third child. Christina is a mother of five and has assisted many family’s through their prenatal, childbirth, and early postpartum journeys. She is currently completing her Childbirth Educator Certification through the Childbirth and Postpartum Association (CAPPA) and is also a Certified Lactation Counselor Educator. Christina’s formal education includes a Bachelor degree in Legal Studies and Sociology, with a minor in Gender and Women’s Studies. She currently serves as a Program Manager for a doula program, also as the Program Director of the Southeastern Region with the Wisconsin Doulas Association and is a member of the Wisconsin Maternal Mortality Review Team. Christina wants to ensure that she is able to have influence on Maternal and Child health on a board spectrum but also to ensure that she tends to the roots of birth work and continues to work “boots on the ground”. In her free time she enjoys crafting, traveling, and attending family events.
