The Moms Mental Health Initiative Board of Directors works hand-in-hand with the staff of Moms Mental Health Initiative to pursue the mission of the organization: helping moms and birthing people navigate perinatal mental health conditions through peer support, resource brokering and information sharing.

This dedicated team of volunteer leaders ensures Moms Mental Health Initiative can continue to work toward our vision: every mom and birthing person in Southeast Wisconsin receives the perinatal mental healthcare they need.

President
Sarah Boston
Sarah Boston is the CEO of a financial planning and investment firm in Indianapolis, IN. As a financial planner and business owner, she understands the impact of perinatal mental health on families and communities. As a mother, she is deeply dedicated to supporting women through transitional phases of life. Sarah has supported the initiatives of MMHI from its inception, having volunteered each year at the Summer Social. Both of Sarah’s adult sons work in her financial planning practice and in her spare time she grows many vegetables and hangs out with her best doggies, Franco and Louis.

Vice President
Flory Jerez-Villasenor
Flory Jerez-Villasenor is a proud Latina leader, wife, and mother of three with deep roots in the Milwaukee and Kenosha communities. She holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting and a Masters in Business from Carthage College, and spent over 10 years in corporate, where she served on the Hispanic Employee Resource Group’s governance board, most recently as Chair. This past year, she also served as a member of the non-profit organizations EWL Tempo Milwaukee & Franklin Lions Club.
Flory now works as a financial advisor, known for her relationship-focused approach and passion for empowering families through clear, accessible financial guidance. As the spouse of a first responder, she understands the importance of resilience, support systems, and mental wellness.
She is honored to join the Moms Mental Health Initiative (MMHI) Board of Directors, where she looks forward to advancing its mission of supporting mothers navigating perinatal mental health challenges.

Secretary
Christine Donahoe
Christine Donahoe is a Shareholder at Hawks Quindel where she represents workers facing violations of their constitutional rights, discrimination, and sexual harassment, and employees who just need an advocate to help them leave a bad job on their own terms. She specializes in discrimination against women, trans and non-binary people, pregnant people, nursing parents, and people suffering from pregnancy and childbirth related medical and mental health conditions. Chris has spent her career fighting for the underdog to disrupt unjust systems that entrench poverty and discrimination. She has two young kids, a supportive partner, and a cat who is less supportive.

Treasurer
Sarah Fastner
Sarah is a passionate advocate for maternal mental health and well-being, driven by a deep commitment to connecting moms with the resources they need to thrive—for themselves and their families.
She is Senior Manager of Recruiting at Baker Tilly, leading a team of talent acquisition professionals. She holds a B.S. in Human Resources from Marquette University and previously served on the Metro Milwaukee SHRM Board. Outside of work, Sarah prioritizes fitness as a cornerstone of her mental health, moving her body daily through a supportive gym, pickleball, and past experience as a kettlebell instructor. She and her husband love traveling with their young son, whose favorite part of any trip is the airplane ride. Sarah is thrilled to bring her HR leadership, community focus, and personal passion for maternal wellness to the Moms Mental Health Initiative board.

Member-At-Large
Ashley Hoover
Ashley is a dedicated community connector and maternal health advocate committed to fostering inclusion and reducing isolation for families navigating complex health journeys. As a mother to two children , with significant neurodivergent and medical needs, she transforms her lived experience into a catalyst for systemic change across Wisconsin.
Ashley specializes in building supportive ecosystems for mothers. Her work is deeply rooted in health equity, particularly for Black mothers and babies, through her impactful collaborations with organizations like, Foundation for Black Women’s Wellness and internship with WI-Board for People with Developemental Disabilities.
A natural bridge-builder, Ashley manages the SE WI Moms of Neurodivergent Support Group and is a graduate of the Family Leadership Institute (WiFLI). Her expertise spans social media management, community organizing, and strategic advocacy. Ashley believes in the Mom's Mental Health Initiative mission and is excited to join the board!

Member-At-Large
Megan Nazaret
Megan Nazaret, Board Member-at-Large, is a fierce advocate for perinatal mental health. She lives in Mequon with her husband, her two sons, Adrian and Wilbur, and her bearded dragon, Orangie. Megan takes care of her mental health through medication, therapy, Pilates, volunteering, and reading. She is passionate about reducing the stigma that surrounds mental illness and helping people feel less alone in their struggles. Megan chairs the Summer Social Committee. Contact: megan@mmhimke.org

Member-at-Large & Executive Director
Sarah Ornst Bloomquist
Some call her the Fairy Godmother of perinatal mental health, but we just call her Sarah. Sarah Ornst Bloomquist has walked alongside hundreds of struggling moms on the path to feeling better. As Executive Director and Co-Founder, she’s the heart of the organization, which she helped build after struggling to find adequate help for postpartum depression and anxiety following her son’s birth.
Sarah transformed her professional experience as a life coach, child advocacy program coordinator and family support specialist for perinatal couples into an organization dedicated to supporting moms navigating perinatal mental health conditions. Sarah is a Certified Family Life Educator (CFLE) and is perinatal mental health certified (PMH-C). As an leader, advocate and speaker, Sarah brings lived experience to her work breaking down barriers to effective treatment and helping moms find hope in the process. As MMHI's leader Sarah sits on the Wisconsin Maternal Health Task Force, The Periscope Project Advisory Committee, the Multicultural Perinatal Mental Health Collaborative, MKE Elevate and provides technical assistance to help tribal and local health departments improve their PMH screening protocols.
Born and raised in the greater Milwaukee area, Sarah is a cheesehead at heart, but spent many treasured years in Indiana. She’s proud mom to two, enjoys playing soccer, hanging out with friends and neighbors, and taking her rescue dogs for hikes.
